CEREC® One-Visit Dentistry – Fort Valley, GA

No More Waiting
for Permanent Dental Crowns

At many dental offices, when you’re told that you need a crown, you won’t be receiving the actual restoration during the same visit. After an impression is taken of your tooth, it can take weeks for the crown to be created at a dental lab and sent back to the dental office for placement. But why wait to enjoy the protection that a permanent crown can offer? Here at Fantastic Smiles, we can use CEREC one-visit dentistry in Fort Valley, GA to design and place dental crowns in just one day.

What is CEREC®?

The complete CEREC system

CEREC is short for Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic. Simply put, it’s a new way to design and create crowns and other restorations. It eliminates the waiting time between the preparation of the tooth and the placement of the actual crown; the entire process is completed while you’re sitting in the dental chair. And since metal-free, tooth-colored ceramic is used, a CEREC crown can restore the beauty of your tooth along with its strength and function.

How Does CEREC® Work?

After we’ve determined that a CEREC crown is right for you, we’ll scan your mouth to create a three-dimensional image of your tooth, which will be converted into a special model that can be used to design a restoration. Once all of the appropriate information has been gathered, a milling unit will create the crown out of an appropriately colored ceramic block. We can then make last-minute adjustments before polishing the restoration and bonding it in place.

Come Experience CEREC® For Yourself

CEREC procedures are much less costly and time-consuming than the traditional restorative process, and they completely eliminate the need for impressions that involve messy dental putty. Thanks to this technology, getting a crown is more convenient than ever before. If you have a weakened or damaged tooth that needs to be restored, you can experience the difference that CEREC can make for yourself. Call us to schedule an appointment with Dr. Marable; he can determine whether you can benefit from a CEREC restoration.
